Oh my, I don't even know where to begin. Well, we had big plans this summer...youth trips and Kenya missions and well, God had different ones! About 5 weeks ago, I was pretty late and figured I take a test just to make sure and it was Negative. Safe!...or so I thought. So two weeks later, I go to get my hair done and my friend Priscilla is like " So when are you and Mike gonna have babies? You guys are gonna have the hottest babies ever!!" And I replied "No no no....not til at least after Kenya, or the end of the year!!" Well it got me thinking again, man now I'm reallllly late. So I go home and decide to take a test....I see a line....and a faint 2nd line and I think, "Oh its broken this one is broken!!" So I immediately jump in my car and bolt to walgreens! Buy two more! This time the ones that say "yes" and "no"...that way I cant argue! I take one and it says "Yes" and another..."Yes"!! I call Michael right away crying hysterically and yelling "Oh my goodness I just took a test, 3 tests and it says YES!! Meanwhile he is at his new job at Northpoint Community Church and apparently I yelled so loud that his co worker heard me! Ha! So I'm just freaking out and he's all calm and goes, "Well...I guess we're gonna have a baby!" Took me a little while to calm down, think it out, and well just breathe. I've always dreamed of being a mother, but wow, this wasn't my timing. It was God's and we both know...His is always better than mine. I sat around all day and just prayed. I knew Kenya was out of the picture and that broke my heart...but Michael assured me that we could go later. So at 11pm Michael comes home from work, opens the door and says...DADDY"S HOMEEEE! Haha he always knows how to make me smile!!
I told my mommi and daddi that night! Mommi is exstatic and Daddi cried! Josh and Kellan are shocked and thrilled! Kellan says " He was born to be Crazy Uncle Kellan!" haha. I tried to keep the secret in but I called Jess the next day! She's always my partner in crime! So my original due date was October 31st ( 2 days after Ryder was born) but God knows how much I hate Halloween and so now I've been bumped to November 11, 2009 (which is my uncle Johns birthday whom I miss very much and would be honored to carry on his special day.) So I'm 7 weeks and a day today, have my next ultrasound on April 3. Here's the first one though...it's an itty bitty.
Just keep me in your prayers. I've heard so many horror stories and well, now that I'm pregnant, I couldnt imagine not being. I've been feeling pretty good. Sleeping alot, and lots of nausea. But nothing worse than that...I'm thankful. Just pray that God would wrap His arms around this baby and carry him/her all the way. I want my child to be healthy and to glorify Christ in evey way possible!
This is the longest first blog ever, but now you know why this blog is called The Sasser Family...because we are on our way to a family! God is so good.
